Thanks Mike! The grass is always greener… I’m pretty lucky to have this in my backyard so to speak, but I’m sure a lot of people take it for granted. Plus, not everyone is crazy like me & wakes up in the wee hours of the morning to witness these beautiful sunrises.
Yes, it takes a certain kind of energy to leave the comfort of sleep to catch such an early sight. But by goodness it’s worth the effort! Hmmm, much better if it’s not too cold, though
It’s photos like this that make ME glad YOU dragged yourself out of bed in the dark! Stunning!
Thank you… I would be devastated to witness this without a camera in hand though – but sometimes sitting back and taking it all in has its rewards too.
A true humdinger. We need something like this up in the Northern Hemisphere!

Hehe… Thanks Roo. If only it happened like this every day!
Wow! This is a magical sunrise, Adrian.
Thanks Adrian! I love it when a plan comes together… right place, right time.
Absolutely glorious Ian. Thank you so much for getting up early to capture these beautiful moments, so little people like me can sleep in.
Thanks Emily, and of course you are welcome… I do what I can!
Wow that’s lovely. Where is it?
Thanks so much. It is in Coffs Harbour, about half way between Sydney & Brisbane on the east coast of Australia.
Stunning sunrise.
Thanks so much.
What a fantastic photo with the pier going off into the forever of the sunrise…wow!
Thank you Scott… Its always a toss up on what angle to take with these Jetty shots, although it is hard to get a bad angle with a sunrise like this!
You’re welcome, Ian…and yes, I would think the same, hard to get a bad angle with the sunrise like that…well said.
Beautiful photo. I’d love to be sitting on the end of that pier watching the sun rise.
Thank you… I would be devastated to witness this without a camera in hand though – but sometimes sitting back and taking it all in has its rewards too.
Absolutely stunning, the composition is perfect that pier leading you right into the sunrise
Thank you. I was lucky as it was a last minute decision to change spots… so glad I did now!
Sometimes just moving a few inches can make all the difference. It was well seen…
Very true indeed…. Thank you.
Beautiful, stunning, I wish I was there to watch in amazement the sun rise!
Thanks so much Mel! Very much appreciated.
