Photography by Ian Spagnolo, Coffs Harbour & Sawtell
An early morning visit to Coffs Harbour Jetty before sunrise was a nice way to start the day.
You take such breathtaking photos!
Do you ever just take point and shoot? Or would that be an atrocity for a professional photographer.
I’m using an iphone 4S, and am wondering if you think you can get reaasonably good quality photos that way?
Also wondering do you photoshop at all?
the pics seem almost unreal.
I’m a novice at photography and am more of a professional writer, so forgive me if i;m asking stupid questions 🙂
Thank you! I do use a point & shoot sometimes, but its an old one and needs updating – hopefully sometime soon. Really, the best camera to use is the one you have with you when you need one, and so I try and always have my D-SLR handy, but it doesn’t always work out.
Iphones have a great little camera. I think good photos have a lot to do with knowing how to use your camera and having an eye for photography.
Photoshop is great for really making a good photo great in my eyes, and I do use it, but I think you need to have that good base to work with. There are lots of options for image editing, GIMP being a great free alternative to Photoshop so I am told.
Hope this helps, best of luck! 😀
Thanks so much!! That’s really useful and encouraging!
Look forward to more of your photos! They make me want to get up early and catch sunrises.
