Day 117 – 65 Roses or Cystic Fibrosis?
65 Roses was an attempt by a boy to pronounce his sisters condition of Cystic Fibrosis. In Australia we have 65 Roses Day (25th of May) and it is used as day for raising awareness as well as much needed funds for research and services for those with CF.
The reason I say this now is, a good friend of mine who has had Cystic Fibrosis – or CF, and underwent a triple transplant (heart, lungs & liver) a few years ago now, sent me a link last week to another persons blog at the following page.
It is from the perspective of a transplant recipient and I found it to be a great read and a real eye opener to how one would feel post-transplant. If you have 5 minutes stop by and have a read.
The photo is of a CF pin, just one of the pieces of merchandise that is available from Cystic Fibrosis Australia for 65 Roses Day.
