Day 356 – Weathered
Well, after attempting to get the shot I wanted for 2 mornings in a row, this was about the best that I could come up with. Sometime mother nature just won’t play the game for me… 🙂

It’s beautiful. I love the textures of the rocks, the water, the reflection of the sunrise. The clouds add an interesting dimension to the photo. They put a ceiling on it, close it in. Everything seems to be moving toward the light on the horizon – well, except the rocks.
Thank you. Much appreciated… I really like how the image all came together as well, except for sun on the horizon – but it gives me something to work on for next time! 😀
What don’t you like about the sun on the horizon?
It was a little too long after sunrise, and the sun is too bright. It’s just me picking out what I could try to do better if I had to pick something.
The green is so sharp against the muted colors of seascape! It’s a fascinating contrast.
Thanking you Mrs Fever! 🙂
I think it works really well! It’s almost as if the clouds are mimicking the shape and depth of the rocks. Know what you mean about the sun, but it doesn’t ruin it. 🙂
Thanks as always Roo. I’m just being my own worst critic I think… lol. I should find something better to do like post more photos right? 😀
Wow, it’s hypnoticising! 🙂 I almost fell into it – as I put my nose on the screen…
🙂
Thanks Dina! I love that… I had to have a little laugh. 😀
Now this is way cool ! The rocks in the front with the green moss, the silky water, and the beautiful sky all pull together to create magic.
Thanks so much Emily. That moss just called out to me… but it was a little hard to try and work out an angle to capture the shape of the rocks too – hence why it took me 2 attempts to get something I liked. 🙂
Wow.. a whopping 2 attempts. You are a genius really Ian.
